Product Efficacy:
1. Antitussive effect: various extracts, such as acid alcohol extract, flavonoid glycosides, total acid phenol, crystal ⅰ and saponin, gavage has antitussive effect on mice, while total acid phenol without flavone has no antitussive effect, flavonoid glycoside has a better antitussive effect.
2. Expectorant effect: Acid alcohol extract, flavonoid glycosides, total acid phenols, total alkaloids and crystal I all have certain expectorant effect (phenol red method), but saponins have no significant expectorant effect.
3. Antiasthmatic effect: intrabitoneal injection of acid alcohol extract, flavonoid glycosides and total alkaloids of S. chinensis has certain antiasthmatic effect on guinea pigs (histamine and acetylcholine mixture spray method). Flavonoid glycosides have the best effect, which is equivalent to aminophylline 125 mg/kg and 250 mg/kg.
4. Antibacterial effect: Jinggu grass soup or alcohol ether extract has certain antibacterial effect in test tubes, acid ether extract to remove lead salt impurities has the strongest antibacterial effect, mainly against Staphylococcus aureus, staphylococcus aureus, pneumococcus, Streptococcus A, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
